Can technology make sports more equal, or does it only widen the gap between competitors?

If you think that tech should be kept or removed from competitive sports, then please let me know!

I think technology can sometimes make sports more equal, depending on what it is. Like for example, I think that VAR shouldn't be in football because it only makes it fair for all referees, not footballers. I think F1 (Formula 1) should keep technology because it makes it easier for everyone that joins and is already in it.

I think it depends on what sport it is, whether it needs safetey like F1, or if it doesn't need technology at all like badminton and tennis.

An example of what my argument/opinion is that in tennis, Hawk-Eye is making umpires lose their jobs and they get really sad. I want that to change because I don't want people losing their jobs just because of silly technology. Nobody would want that! Especially if they get really sad afterwards. I don't think that technology is the kind of thing for tennis, what about you?

Another example is that F1 drivers should keep their technology because the tech they have is called 'Halo' and it helps the drivers to be safe when driving, because if the drivers crashed without Halo, they would be left behind and be seriously injured. Nobody want want F1 drivers to be injured because in my opinion, I think it is cool, and I don't want it to end from people seriously being injured and crashing! I think technology should stay in F1, what about you?

My next example is about badminton and it's tech to see if it helps or not. In badminton, there is also Hawk-Eye and for some of the badminton rackets, they changed the material to carbon fibre and they also sometimes use AI not only for help, but for 200mph shuttle speed. It seems unfair, but some people actually use it. If you use anything tech like in sports, I'm not saying you can't use it because maybe it helps you. If any of you reading this doesn't use technology, then I'm happy you're with me. If you used to use it, but don't anymore because of this, then I'm happy you're happy. I don't think that AI and Hawk-Eye and all of that stuff should be in badminton or tennis, what do you think?

My last example is that Football might be unfair because of VAR, and I don't like it when things aren't fair, and I bet you don't either. VAR stands for 'Video Assistant Referee', and because it lets referees play back the footage on the video/camera, they can track how fast the ball is going, where it went and even when the Footballers make a foul or make it a penalty. I honestly think it's unfair because even if you kicked the ball off even a tiny little bit, they would shout '? BALL!' (The question mark means what team gets to throw the ball. I think it's unfair, what do you think?

I thank you so much for reading my Standpoint and if you enjoyed, please let me know. Bye and have an incredible day! Have fun on whatever day you're reading this!
