Can technology make sports more equal, or does it only widen the gap between competitors?

I think that technology will only widen the gap – most countries do not have as much money for tech as other well-developed countries do, so these might have an unfair advantage. For example, Norway’s team allegedly performed the secret tech work to increase their suits’ surface area and stiffness, which gave the skiers extra aero-dynamic lift and resulted in them being disqualified. I think it is completely fair to remove tech for equality among teams, but it shows how countries are willing to cheat using technology.
I also think that it is not just technology that creates a gap, as Canadian curler (Marc Kennedy) was accused of cheating during a match. There were 3500 athletes from 93 countries, and Norway was the only one that majorly cheated.
But, I feel that if professionals check equipment and gear carefully, it might put people off using technology as much so the gap could be made equal, but only if tech that can track health and injuries is used during matches. This would make it fair against underdeveloped countries that do not have as much money to spend on technology.
In conclusion, I think that technology needs to be carefully reviewed so that it is only used for good.
