Can technology make sports more equal, or does it only widen the gap between competitors?

- The Winter Games, talent or technology?
I think it depends on the sport, if it's a sport that needs safety, like f1 or for fairness like VAR in football, it should be equally safe ,but other sports, like tennis that use tech for an advantage should not.
The first example is , in tennis ,the umpires are losing their jobs because of the hawkeye. The umpires are sad because they cant participate in tennis matches and cant judge the tennis matches ether ,which makes them left out.
The second example is, in Formula 1 the halo is protecting the driver's upper body and they're head. Tech like this is for safety, an example, in 2020 Romain Grosion nealy died in a car crash, the car split in half and there was a massive fire that nearly killed him, he broke his right arm and left arm and burnt 7 of his fingers. If the halo was'nt there his head would have probably been ripped off!
' The cars have developed alot of tech over the years'
I think I will go crazy if they take halos away from Formula 1 or any other motor sports or VAR from football, but I will be happy if they take the hawkeye from tennis and inroduce the umpires again!
