Can technology make sports more equal, or does it only widen the gap between competitors?

Technology has become a part of sports. In my opinion, it has only increased the gap between winners and losers, rather than making sports equal. First, it has been observed that not all sportsmen or teams can afford to use the latest technology. Some teams can afford to use the latest technology, while others cannot. This gives them the opportunity for more sophisticated ways of doping or tampering with equipment and creates inequality. Therefore, greater control is needed.
Secondly, technology can also be misleading at times and its use is excessive. Coaches and athletes now rely too much on analytics and GPS, to the exclusion of human intuition and experience. This can lead to wrong decisions during the match, as players are bombarded with information. Sometimes, the results obtained from technology can be wrong if not used correctly. This can be misleading for athletes. Sports should be based on natural talent.
On the other hand, it has also been observed that technology has become a part of sports, which has made sports more equal. Technology has also helped referees in sports, for example, VAR technology in football or hawk-eye in tennis. This has made referees make fairer decisions. However, its constant use undermines the authority of referees and reduces trust in human decisions. In my opinion, sports were better without excessive technology, as they were more traditional. Un example that supports what I think is that many players, as Rafael Nadal, have expressed the view that technology removes the "human element" and drama from the sport, making it more impersonal.
In conclusion, it has been observed that technology in many cases helps in a fairer outcome when it escapes human observation and works beneficially when it is balanced with human ability but its misuse has increased the gap between winners and losers.
