Does the use of technology make new world records less impressive than those of the past?

Technology is relied on in sport. It can help make things more equal for each player but some players in sports can't afford it to buy the latest technology.
Var (video assistant referee) is used in football; it was introduced in 2016. Bournemouth, Brentford and Manchester United have suffered two VAR errors before so it might be less useful than an actual human and some people might not like VAR because they think that it makes the game less fun. Also, in the Olympic Games they have now introduced some equipment to the sport Curling. They added electronic handles on the handle on the stone, even though the equipment is expensive people buy it, like in Formula 1 teams will spend millions on cars so they can go faster or control it more easily. In winter sports most teams can get new gears but some can't so I don't think this is fair since there would be a higher chance of winning and the people who don't have the right gear will get a lower chance of winning.
In conclusion only certain teams or countries can afford certain equipment. I believe that technology should be carefully controlled so that sport remains about talent and hard work not just money.
