Does the use of technology make new world records less impressive than those of the past?

In the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, technology is used. It can help athletes improve and make decisions more accurate but not all people think it is fair. It can give advantages to the teams that are wealthier. Technology in sports is a good thing and this is my reason.
Technology can help with many things in sports. For example, in the Olympic games, the referee uses technology to help with the judging which reduces mistakes and disagreements. One example of this in the Winter Olympics is handles that use sensors in curling to see whether the throw was legal or not. If the handle flashes red then the player lets go too late but if it flashes green it means the throw is correct. Technology can also reduce cheating and can help show if the position of the athlete is wrong so they can fix it. This will make it fair to both teams.Technology can help athletes perform better and make judging fairer and easier. Technology can be trusted now which is why I approve of it being used in sports. VAR is another technology used in sports. It helps to see if the ball crosses the line in football and determine if you get a red card .
However, technology can make things unfair which is why some people may disagree with me. The countries that cannot afford good equipment and technology which means they have a disadvantage as their training has not been very good. This means the other team will have a higher chance of winning. This is not good as it makes the game unfair.
I have seen unfairness in sports before. The Norwegian ski team were disqualified as they were cheating by putting technology things in their top which accelerated their speed and jumping height. The judges disqualified 2 Norwegian stars and 3 of the staff. What Norway did was unfair to other contestants as they ought to be better when they use something illegal.
In conclusion, technology doesn't just give advantages to the players but also to the referee. Overall it is very useful and it can make things equal but also widen the gap when one country has something that the other country doesn't.
