Does the use of technology make new world records less impressive than those of the past?

Technology is being used in many sports today ,such as the Winter Olympics,Paralimpic Games and much more. It helps people like fans ,players ,referees and much more .It helps them make decisions ,see if something is unfair ,and it also helps people like athletes to improve their skills. Although sometimes it gives other teams more of an advantage because they have more money ,equipment and skills than the other team that they are opponents with.
Technology makes decisions and opinions more fair and it can also step up the athletes' performances into becoming better and more interesting .Like in VAR in football ,also known as soccer helps check penalties ,red or yellow cards ,goals and it also helps the referees make a fair decision that will not affect anyone. Checking the footage does slow the game down but it also helps make the game the fairest it can possibly be. Technology reduces cheating ,human error and malfunctioning but it does make the teams play more equally.
In the most recent sport ,the Winter Olympics ,technology helps people understand what to do if they want to get better. For example ,it can notify them if their body position is wrong so they can fix it .
Technology can also make games unfair ,as much as it does make games fair. For example, some countries have better teams, equipment and skills than others. At the Winter Olympic games, people had expensive desinged skis, while others had skis from home .If others can afford better equipment ,then other teams will have a better advantage .
This happens to me when I play football with my family and friends . They have proper high quality boots ,but because I am not as into football as they are,I wear crocs or sometimes trainers .
In conclusion ,real life examples can show that technology can make games fairer by helping referees make the right decisions and improving safety but so can humans. Although it can also widen the gap between competitors I believe that technology should be more carefully controlled because sometimes it can make the wrong decisions. I believe people's talent is more important than technology ,but fairness is more important than talent, since sometimes people are using better equipment than others, it is fair to use technology .
