The Winter Games - Standpoint image 3

Technology is used in many sports, it can help sports to be equal. On the other hand teams with more money can buy their way to success in the sport instead of using talent. I believe that technology makes sports fair.

The technology used to make VAR (Video Assistant Referee) is fair because it it can make more accurate decisions compared to a human, like if a referee gave someone a red card in football VAR could help the player clear up his name. Hawk eye in Tennis can help the player like to say it wasn’t out the line. In the Paralympic games advanced running blades were used at an elite Level and at the Winter Olympic they made curling fairer when the Canadian curling team cheated the light turns red to show if it was illegal or not. This helped the referee make the decision more accurately.

Some people might disagree that technology can also make the sport unfair. It can be unfair that some countries have more money than other countries. In the Premier league Arsenal cheated by paying the referee to not check the VAR so that they could get a penalty. In the Olympic Games special full body swimsuits to help the swimmers go faster and broke many world records then the swimsuits were banned.

In conclusion I believe that technology is better over talent.
