Does the use of technology make new world records less impressive than those of the past?

There are many sports in the world and people are using technology to play equally but in my opinion we should use our real talent because technology can be unreliable sometimes and I do not think we need all this technology because there are things that can be made to help us keep things fair. Like in football they use red card and yellow cards
Just like in the recent Winter Olympics when the Canadian curling team was caught cheating and and they had to use sport technology which in my opinion we do not have to do because we can just rewind back the cameras which I think is a good idea.
However, technology can make the sport less equal and help the athlete with the sport that they're playing. but I worry about the fact that one team has brand-new equipment and new football boots the other team have last season stuff and do not perform as well. I feel that is not fair on the other team.
