Does the use of technology make new world records less impressive than those of the past?

I think that the use of technology makes older world records look better as there was no VAR and only humans to judgeif it was a point or not. This is because the most tineist mistakes were missed.
The first example that supports my opinion is that in 1964 VAR(Video Assistant Referee ) did not exist and therefore people did not know if it was a point that was real talent or not.
The second example that supports my opinionis referees could have poor eyesight and might miss tiny details and make a certain person seem to be the best at the game , but they are not .
Others may disagree that world records now are better than those of the past, because they have beaten them with the same rules and it doesn't matter as they have played it with the same passion.
In conclusion , I think it does make older records look more impressive as humans judged the score and players used no technology.
