This is exactly what I expected and hoped for. As I have stated in my previous comments, technology used in the Winter sports gives richer countries an unfair advantage when they don’t need it at all, using their wealth to give their athletes better quality gear and training that is not an option for all. I believe technology should be used in sport if it improves the game and provides inclusion, allowing people with disabilities for example to be able to participate and enjoy sports. When it means athletes are at less of a risk getting injured or falling ill, technology can work its magic then, instead of being used as an advantage.
You have just changed my point of view although richer countries might be power hungry and not care about their athletes physical and mental well being .
I think helping athletes perfom safely is the main goal, because when athletes perform or practice they take risk and probably get injured, but if we take safety measures, it should reduce the risk of athletes getting injured or even loosing their lives. For example Al-Nassr VS AL Hilal and the Salem-AL Dawsari is always fouling Cristiano Ronaldo and the next foul will be an injury if technology to make a jersey that can detect when you be injured the jersey can show that Salem- AL Dawsari is going to foul him and that foul can make him injured so now that jersey would have saved him from from getting injured.
I honestly expected a similar result to this poll since it is most logical for technology to be used for safety if at all. This is due to the fact that technology helps prevent injuries on the field for athletes. An example of this is catapult GPS vests which help track rugby players fatigue levels, these devices monitor overexertion notifying their coaches to take them off the playing field. Additionally, in F1 they use VSC to enforce speed limits on cars for the drivers safety. This has a clear positive effect for F1 players who don’t wish to be severely injured or end up dead, although some people may doubt technology it is undeniable that the players would like to play a sport safely than risk their life for the thrill of spectators.
I expected this outcome for the poll because if it just enhanced the performance of the athlete it could make it so much more dangerous. If it helped decide outcomes more accurately, then it would just spoil the game because they would know the most likely outcome.
Whereas if it helped athletes preform more safely, less injuries will happen and athletes recovery time will be shortened.
For example, years ago, American Football helmets were not at protective as they are now. Using science and technology to understand how the brain is impacted during hard tackles, helmets have now become more advanced and provide better protection for the players - reducing the risk of injury.
No,this is not the result I expected for because,
I believe technology’s main role in modern sport should be to give accurate results because fairness is the foundation of competition. In events like the Olympic Winter Games, victories are often decided by milliseconds, so tools such as photo-finish cameras and replay systems ensure that the real winner is declared without human error.
Another reason is that focusing mainly on enhancing performance can create inequality, as wealthier teams may have access to better equipment. Even though safety is important, it is already built into most sporting rules and regulations.
In conclusion, everything like safety, enhancement and accuracy is crucial. But, I think sport is about talent and hard work. Technology should protect fairness by ensuring accurate results, so that victory truly reflects performance.
It should be used in hospitals to maintain lives like the life support ,X-ray and full body scan .To maintain lives ,And to maintain health care . But some of them are risky to our body like the X-ray it is bad for our skin and health care .
Yes, the results are quite interesting, and in many ways they are what I expected. The majority of people (234 votes) believe that technology’s main role in modern sport should be to help athletes perform safely. This shows that most people value players’ health and well-being above everything else. In recent years, injuries and long-term health problems have become serious concerns in many sports, so it makes sense that safety is seen as the top priority. Technology such as wearable devices, video analysis, and medical monitoring systems can reduce risks and protect athletes.
Fewer people chose supporting and enhancing performance (95 votes). This suggests that although improving performance is important, it should not come before safety. Technology can certainly help athletes train smarter and improve their skills, but it should be used responsibly and fairly so that it does not create unfair advantages.
Almost the same number of people (94 votes) believe technology’s main role is to decide outcomes more accurately, such as through goal-line technology or video assistant referees. Accurate decisions are essential for fairness in sport, but the results show that people care more about protecting athletes than about judging the game.
Overall, the results reflect a balanced and thoughtful view. They show that while performance and fairness matter, safety remains the most important role of technology in modern sport.

This is the result ,I was hoping for because if any of the other ones won the pole it would mean that people are being really mad about winning sports .Also supporting and enhance performance is a good one because it can help players in sports . The one about help to decide outcomes can help but it is not helpful because we have ai that already do it.
