MY POINT OF VIEW ON REPRESENTATION OF DIVERSITY IN FILMS

People are greatly influenced by what they see and experience, in my opinion it is so strong that it can alter their course of living. An excellent film is as same as a life lesson.

PERCEPTION :

Each person reacts differently to the movie. Speaking from personal experience, the film Kung Fu Panda is one that taught me the value of pure determination, but for my friend, it is merely the tale of a fat panda.

IMPACT :

Movies can influence a big audience, so the impact could go either way. For instance, the film Jai Bhim is regarded as the most significant sociopolitical Tamil film to have been released in 2021 because it exposed the systemic unfairness and cruelties that the people in Tamil Nadu that are marginalised by caste are subjected to. It was such an amazing movie that it was nominated for an Oscar and ranked first on IMDB rating. Despite these favourable reviews, there are still some people who found this movie offensive.

TRUE UNITY :

Though hcelebration of diverse cultures, and a community coming together are all depicted in movies, true unity arises only when one treats everyone equally with reverence.
