THE PROTEST IN IRAN

On the 16th of September 2022, a woman named Mahsa Amini was killed by morality police in Iran because of the way she wore her hijab. They say she died of a heart attack but many people disagree. The death of Mahsa Amini was very shocking to the whole world and because of this people have been protesting for women's rights .

PROTESTING IN IRAN

The protests have included actions such as women burning their hijabs and cutting their hair off to prove their point that women should be entitled to wear what they like and what they feel is best for them. They should have choice but not all women do. All the protests are quite intense as a lot is going on and this has been reported in the world’s media. Not just women were protesting but men too.

I believe that all genders deserve equal rights as we are all equal. We should treat others how we want to be treated .

THE GENDER CHANGES

Gender equality is an issue around the world however, in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, there was an all women’s referee team. This was a historic moment because it was a new change to the international football community. This was a new beginning for women and I hope that this continues and it becomes normal to see women reffing men’s football games.

Unfortunately, we still have work to do . A survey written by Sterling Banks said boys are more likely to receive 20% more money than boys. This is quite shocking and shows that the gender pay gap can start young!
