Food crisis is a food crisis occurs when rates of hunger and malnutrition rise sharply at local, national, or global levels. This definition distinguishes a food crisis from chronic hunger, although food crises are far more likely among populations already suffering from prolonged hunger and malnutrition.

Global food have affected alot ,countries accounted for two-thirds of all people facing this degree of food insecurity globally. A millions of people faced malnutrition, starvation and death.

Being hungry during these critical years can stunt growth and have a significant impact on brain development, with profound consequences for a child's educational attainment, health and future earning potential.
