The Menacing issue of Strikes among workers in the world

Strikes are a major part of workers’ lives. A strike is the final stage of petitions in that sense. It is said that “When persuasion fails, force will be applied.” The stages that go on include talks with the government, negotiations, and others, but when these actions do not bring results, strikes are executed by the union to violently alert the government about their shortcomings. Meetings are held by the union members to deliberate on the idea and funds are made just in case the strike takes longer than it is supposed to. Many workers go on strikes because they are paid inadequately or some policies made by the government are not helping them. In addition, some conditions of work may frustrate the union to the extent that a strike will be undertaken. Let us explore the situation of strikes around the world and peoples’ views on it.

40% of people around the world think multiple-union strike action is more effective than strikes by individual unions – only 10% think it's less effective. However, 38% also think it will be more personally disruptive. In addition to that, strikes are preferred by various people because it is extremely effective. This is a clear indication that strikes are more likely to reduce an organization's production, as well as result in a firm losing customers. On the other, one of the consequences of strikes on employees is that they may lose their remuneration. Violent and lengthy strikes have devastating effects on the economy, cause injury to members of the community and non-striking workers, and more particularly poverty as employers would retrench workers if their businesses do not make a profit as a result of prolonged non-production. On the business side, strikes result in a decrease in production, which reduces the country's gross domestic product (GDP). Additionally, because the striking workers are going without pay, less money is being spent in the economy, which hurts other business.During a strike the company loses money every day that striking workers are able to shut down production. Often companies try to bring in new workers to take the place of striking workers. These new workers must cross lines of picketing strikers to enter the workplace. This usually upsets the strikers very much.

To end it all of, in my opinion, strikes should be allowed. An example in the ongoing strike in France. The retirement age has been increased and because the people are expressing their grievances and the governmentt is not listening, a more violent approach has been undertaken. Most strikes are about pay and better working conditions. Without the threat of strike action, corporations will be able to make bigger profits, while working conditions will get worse. Strike is part of their bargaining tool. Striking is sometimes their last legal option. The ability to strike has long been a negotiation tool for many American workers and labor unions. Throughout the country's history, American workers in a variety of fields have held strikes demanding higher pay, more manageable work hours, better contracts and benefits, and improved working conditions.

To end this, strikes are a majjor issue in various perspectives. Let us be better people to prevent this.
