How money made Elon Musk an influential person

Elon Musk is one of the most influential people in the world today. He is known for his work in technology, space and electric cars. Many people like him for his ideas and vision of the future, others don’t like the decisions he makes and the influence he has. However, one of the biggest reasons he has become so influential is money.
Musk wasn’t born super rich, but he always had opportunities. His first big success was co-founding Zip2, which he sold for $300 million in 1999. Instead of spending all his money, he used it to start more businesses. His next big company was PayPal, which eBay bought for $1.5 billion in 2002. This gave him $180 million to invest in even bigger projects. Unlike most inventors who struggle to find money for their ideas, Musk had enough cash to keep trying until he succeeded. One example is SpaceX, his space company. In the beginning, it almost failed because its rockets kept crashing, but Musk had enough money to keep going until it finally worked. The same thing happened with Tesla. He invested millions in the company, and when it had money problems, he used his own money to save it. His success isn’t just because he’s smart, it’s because he had the money to take big risks. Governments and other large companies work with him because they know he has the resources to make things happen. Musk also uses his money to buy and control major companies. In 2022, he bought Twitter (X) for $44 billion. This gave him control over a huge social media platform, where he can share his opinions with millions of people and even change the way news spreads. Many people worry that he allows misinformation to spread and that he controls what people see online. He often shares careless opinions online, including conspiracy theories and rude comments, proving that having a lot of money doesn’t mean making smart or responsible choices.
Elon Musk’s influence comes mostly from his money. Without money, Musk might still have great ideas, but he would not have the ability to bring them to life. He has changed the world, but whether that’s a good or bad thing is still up for debate.
