Is Elon Musk’s power a problem?
This post was written by a student. It has not been fact checked or edited.

Elon Musk, a successful businessman, is the world’s richest man on earth with a total estimated net worth of 385 billion dollars. He found Tesla, SpaceX and X. I think that Elon Musk’s power is a problem because he uses his power for disastrous reasons. I have 3 points to prove why.
The first example that supports my opinion is that he uses his political power from being the owner of the world’s largest social media network, Tesla and SpaceX. He is also, currently, the senior advisor to Donald Trump. Because of this, he has intervened directly in important elections and made essential decisions he shouldn’t be able to make. Surely no one should have that much power!
Secondly, I have deduced that he always badmouths people or shows clear prejudice to somebody/something. For example, this erratic male has shown clear bias to his own interests during his push for free speech. In March 2020, he also claimed that people worried about coronavirus were ‘dumb’. He has made many claims and speeches that should not be allowed.
Finally, he uses his social media influence to spread false information. Unfortunately, many people follow him on X (formerly known as Twitter). He has around 218.3 million followers which is a shocking amount. I believe that Elon Musk should be banned, however, he is the owner of this social media network, so that isn’t possible.
Someone who may disagree with me might be someone who loves Tesla or a strict businessman. They may like him because he found Tesla and SpaceX and businesspeople will like him because he is very successful and famous. Personally, I find his actions selfish, childish and obsessive.
Here is a quote from Steve Eisman. ‘Elon Musk is a very, very smart man, but there are a lot of smart people in this world and you’ve got to execute. He’s got execution problems.’ I completely agree with him - yes, Elon Musk is an intelligent person, but he has problems that I really abhor. One of Donald Trump’s best quotes (personally) is: ‘You have to think anyway, so why not think big?’ I like this quote as thinking big can inspire you to do big.
Once again, I believe that Elon Musk’s power is a problem. He is always doing what he wants to do, even if it means that he has to spread rumours about someone/something.
I hope that people understand my perspective, and I understand that others have different views. Of course, Elon Musk has a good side - I just believe that he has done more bad things in his life.
