Is Elon Musk's power is a problem ?
This post was written by a student. It has not been fact checked or edited.

Elon Musk is a billionaire entrepreneur and is the world’s richest person – making him an immensely powerful figure. Musk has over 200 million followers on his social media platform.
Elon Musk’s power is a problem because he uses his social media influence to gain followers and encourage more people to like him.
This level of power is a problem. An example of this is during the American presidential election. During the election, Elon Musk used his social media influence to significantly encourage people to sign a Petion for Donald trump’s leadership, he did this because it would benefit many of his businesses. In exchange for people signing the petition. Elon Musk announced he would give away $1 Million each day to a random person living in a swing state of whom signed the petition. In November 2024, Trump won the election and appointed Elon Musk as his presidential advisor.
This persuades my opinion why Elon Musk’s power is a problem because he is using his money and wealth to persuade people to vote for Trump. This is a problem because people should be able to choose freely and should not be persuaded on what to do.
For example, “the world richest man took questions from reporters in the Oval Office as he stood next to the President Donald Trump, who tasked him with the slashing the size and spending of the federal government”
This is a bad idea for America and the world because having one of the richest men and the President for the most powerful countries in the world friend could be a bad idea. I think this because they could do some damage and server pain if they want to do something. For example, when the richest man in the world wants to build a rocket, Donald Trump says yes and lets him do it.
His power is now a problem as him now being a presidential advisor, as now he can not only change the views of people, but he can also now change laws. This is a problem because he has no knowledge of what to do, he just has to money to do it and not of how he got to be a Presidential Advisor.
