Should one person have so much money and socio-economic power?

Written standpoint on Elon Musk

Elon Musk, known as the world's richest person, has a lot of influence through his excessively huge following of over 200 million users on X, and his relationship with the American President, Donald Trump. Recently, Mr. Musk has "interfered" in global politics , sparking debates about his power, as really theres no good reason he should have the right to be able to. But why does he have this power? And what should anything be done about it?

Elon Musk has wrongfully abused his influential power on social media, even as far to impact world changing ideas or actions. This generation and the future ones are extremely social media based, especially from a young age, leading to society as a whole, being more gullible. Characters like Elon Musk who have a high socio-economic and political status, including a large sum of money can easily spread propaganda and morally wrong views and because he's powerful and rich, a certain person may agree, then the majority will follow, almost blindly, without determining the consequences or the truths of the view itself. People tend to follow those who have a high status in society, or money and power, whether or not that person is who they agree with, or if that person is incredibly morally wrong or possibly even deranged.

Infact, Elon Musk can be one of those people if we truly look into it. An example could be how he has supposedly named one of his children 'X Æ A-12 ', or has at least attempted to. His actions so far have clearly shown to be wrong, so why does he still have so much money?

Personally, I do not think one person should have the mass amount of money and power Mr. Musk has. It feels wrong, and unfair, especially seeing as Elon Musk was not chosen to be a powerful leader by the majority, shouldn't he not have as much power to change economic and political views as he does?
