The problem of never fully satisfied: Elon Musk

Elon Musk was born on June 28, 1917 in Pretoria, South africa. He is well known for being the CEO, and chief engineer of SpaceX, Tesla Inc and the owner of the now renamed Twitter, X, among other companies. All of this has granted Elon Musk to become the richest man in the world, with a net worth of 433 billion dolars. Recently he has gained more attention to his name since. He has been in a potition of power thanks to his friendship with Donal Trump, president of the US. But, the question relies on if having all of this amount of power should be alowed and how did he managed it.

Most of Elon Musk welth comes from investing really big amounts of money in fields that were beginign to appear on the market like electric vehicles, solar energy and artificial intelligence. all of them were risky moves but they all went great.

I belive that Elon Musk first best invesment was on tesla since he exposed the brand the dream we all had of what a futuristic car look like and at the same time poluting less our planet. All of them having this shiny look with the clasic T logo. Now we know that building this type of vehicle polluted more than a car that runs on gas, but the initial image still lingers on most peoples brain.

All of this of course made him really rich and got him in the public eye plus all his other inventions he keep geting more and more rich but there was still something lacking, more influence, something that could caught the eye on him in a shorter period of time, an so he bought Twitter. he rebranded it as X and as someone who uses X normaly on my day to day even if I don´t interact with his content most of times what ever he post ends up on my feed. I know I am not the only one who experience this. granting him a lot of publicity on what ever proyect he is working on. Also he looks like he is trying to appeal to a younger demographic using memes and informal writting.

Now he has gained a lot of money and influence but there one last piece, power. Elon first met Trump during his presidency when he was invited to join Trump´s Strategic and Policy Forum, a group of business leaders who give advise to the president regarding economic issues. over time both of them developed a friendship and now that Trump is back in power he gave Elon the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). He has reduced a big size of federals in the government and is a prominent figure on Trums cabinet meetings.

I don´t think one person should have this amount on power on their hands. But knowing Elon Musk he will continue to get more and more powerfull, rich and influencial. Gaining more money that he could ever spend in a life time while not enjoying what he has and the people who love him. trapped in a cyle of consumerism
