What makes Elon Musk so powerful?

In my standpoint, I will be talking about the question: What makes Elon Musk so powerful?

In my opinion, I think Elon Musk is so powerful due to the three factors : money, social media, and political influence.

Elon Musk is the richest person in the world, with an estimated net worth of $385 billion. Due to his large amount of money, many people know who Elon Musk is, simply because of the fact that he is the richest person in the world. People may not know the president or monarch of every country, but they will know who Elon Musk is. As well as this, in October 2022, Elon Musk bought the social media app Twitter for $44 billion, which has now been renamed to X. As the owner of X, Elon Musk uses his platform to share his opinions - which some of them could be controversial. He is the most followed user with 218 million followers, which means he could be very influential to many people. He used his social media platform as his mouthpiece to support Donald Trump and MAGA views. In addition to this, Elon Musk has been a senior advisor to Donald Trump and is the head of the Department of Government Efficiency. Previously, he endorsed Donald Trump by donating around $100 million to Trump's presidential campaign and appeared at many campaigns. He also used his money to influence people as he launched a cash giveaway in key states where people would be chosen to get $1 million if they signed a petition supporting the First and Second amendments of the US Constitution. This was challenged in a Pennyslavian court after the US Justice Department warned that it may be breaking election rules, however judges decided that the operation could go forward as Musk's lawyers argued that the winners were vetted spokespeople and not randomly chosen.

I think that Elon Musk is so powerful due to the fact that he is the richest person in the world and he can use his money to influence people, through his social media platform, and his relationship with the President Donald Trump also gives him power as he has a goernment position.
