Did you do the classroom lesson?

- The lesson about women in space really made me think about everything in a new way! I never realized how many amazing women have been overlooked in space history just because of their gender. It's kind of like everyone is so focused on the guys that they forget the women are just as awesome. Dr. Shawna Pandya's story hit me hard. She’s not just a doctor and astronaut, she’s a superhero in real life! I used to think space exploration was all about the cool rockets and astronauts wearing those big, shiny suits, but after this lesson, I see it’s so much bigger. It’s about breaking barriers, proving anyone can do anything if they set their mind to it—no matter if you're a girl or a boy. The discussions we had in class were wild, like the most exciting debate ever. We were all talking about how gender inequality is STILL a huge problem today, and how it needs to be fixed, like *yesterday*. Everyone had different views on what was the most urgent problem to fix, and it made me realize how much work is still ahead of us to make sure everyone gets the same chances. The way women have been kept out of big space missions for so long is like something from a movie. It feels so unfair, like the universe itself is playing a prank on them. It made me wonder why we still have these barriers, especially when girls are just as talented and capable as anyone else. The change-makers we talked about in the lesson were so inspiring—if I could be as brave and determined as them, I’d be unstoppable. I felt like I could go to the moon just by believing in myself! The lesson was like a lightbulb moment for me. It made me question everything I thought I knew about space. Why does it have to be harder for some people just because of who they are? Wouldn’t the world be better if everyone had the same shot at reaching for the stars?
