Male-led development standpoint

Written standpoint on women in space

I believe getting all men to stop and think about women when they are making something that should be gender-neutral instead of mostly for men would be the hardest to change. This is male-led development.

One reason I say this is because seatbelts were originally designed for men in 1885 by a man. This is because they were tested by a dummy the size of the average man since most women didn’t drive. Now, in 2025 women drive everyday and should be thought about for their safety in a car.

Another reason I say getting all men to this one mindset is going to be the hardest problem is because some men are going to think “Oh this isn’t that important, females are fine.” Some people don’t like to listen or change.

Like one of the comments on “Which is the most difficult problem to fix?” it read “I think male-led development is the hardest problem to solve these days” and so on. I agree male-led development is the hardest to fix.

That is why I think male-led development and getting all men to stop and think about women when they are making products will be the hardest to solve.
