Written standpoint on women in space

The space industry as we all know, is mostly populated by men because the notion before now has been that women cannot be involved in the space industry for stereotype reasons. But recently, women are becoming more and more interested in the space industry and because of their determination, they are moving obstacles and pushing boundaries to fulfil their dreams this is what women are doing in different male dominated industries especially space. What women are doing might be stressful because they don’t have enough support but they are trying all they can to be heard.

The space industry has now recognized the unwavering determination of women to be part of the space industry and become astronauts too, and so, wants to make the route to space easier for women. But the big question is “How do we get more women to come to space?” This question was asked because in order to run a successful company you need to have both genders working in the organization because there are some task that are gender specific. For example, I found out that because women weigh less they don’t consume a lot of fuel in a space ship thereby reducing the volume of fuel required to fly a spaceship. Even though the strength of men is sometimes required, having balanced equality is very helpful.

When women are included in space, it won’t just have an impact in space, but also impact the world and society. Always remember that influence or change can start from a very little point. You must not have people agree with you before you can make a change in the society. Most of these women who started getting involved in space activities like Valentina Tereshkova, they didn’t have a lot of back up but they put their fears behind and their determination in front of them and that is how they must have influenced others to pursue their dreams and now we have more and more women going to space like Shawn Pandya, Sian Leo Proctor and so many others.

In conclusion, women’s impact on the world cannot be over emphasized, if they are allowed to express themselves without restrictions. When women started showing interest in space, it started becoming fair to both genders. So as we tap into the vast potentials of women to shape the world we say YES to impact space, YES to impact the world.
