Should a country’s first responsibility be to help its own citizens or to help people in need around the world?

A Country's First Responsibility
Many people believe countries should help other around the world, but I think a government first duty is to take care of its own citizens.
The government is meant to take care of the people living in the country by providing things like education, health care, and security. If citizens are struggling with poverty or lack of basic service, it becomes difficult for the country to grow and develop.
However, countries should not ignore people in need around the world. Something other countries faces serious problem like natural disasters, war, or extreme poverty, and international aid can help save lives and support recovery.
In my opinion, a country should first make sure it's citizens basic needs are met, but it should also help other countries when it has the ability to do so. Helping others can build cooperation and make the world more stable.
This balance is important because while government must protect their own people, showing support to others in need also reflects responsibility and humanity.
