If all ages are influenced by misinformation, should there be any age limits on voting?

Lowering the voting age - Standpoint image 2

There already is a minimum age for voting because some say young people are not that experienced. Should there also be a maximum voting age?

Some People might say that older Generations are more experienced when it comes to voting because they lived through more situations. I agree that they are in fact more experienced but regardless of that the voting won’t affect their lives anymore because by the time the results of the voting will be known and the new party changed something it won’t affect their lives anymore.

Another point is that younger Generations are often better at identifying fake News and misinformation. For example the AI-Material. Older Generations can be easily manipulated through the authentic-looking AI Videos while younger people often don’t even have to look twice to identify the fakes.

Last but not least older Generations often have other things to do than keeping up with the politics. The political environment changes a lot and the elderly can have problems with browsing and studying every part of the political state while the younger people don’t have that many problems and learn things faster.

Considering all of my arguments it is clear that there should be an age maximum for voting.
