Lowering the voting age - Standpoint image 1

Lowering the voting age to sixteen has been always a controversial topic. Some people argue that it can help a lot to democracy while others think that it would be a completely disaster in which the campaigns change its way of running.

Firstly, I think that giving the right to vote to people with sixteen yaers old can increase the participation and the opinions of voting. Many teenagers are already interested in all this topic because it can be so important in their future. Also it can change the way that people think and make a more responsible society.

However, there is the other side of the topic. Some people think that they are not ready yet and they vote can be easily influenced by social media. They also believe that a lot of teenager don´t have the neccesary knowledge and their vote might be without understanding all the ngative and positive things.

In conclusion, lowering voting age to sixteen years old have disadvantages and advantages. It can increase participation and give young people a opportunity to vote, but it also can create problems if they are not prepare yet. In my opinion, is important to educate teenagers about politics so they can vote without risk in the future.
