Is it safer for a country to have many different allies or to rely on one very powerful relationship?

My name is honest_ peach, I’m going to talk about NATO: friends forever, I am here to answer the question: Is it safer for a country to have different allies or rely on one very powerful relationship?

In my opinion, I think it is better for a country to have many allies because if a country has many allies they can take advantage in the strength that every partner brings and in return a country can return a favor by dividing their security forces at a minimum amount for the other alliances if they ever have a war or crisis .

For example, If country A is in an alliance with country B,C, and D, and country B Is having a crisis or war, country A,C ,and D might be kind enough to help with country B crisis or war and if they help country crisis will be solved and they might not be a crisis in their country and they can live in harmony. Another reason for my view is when a country is working with different allies they can be able to keep their country safe from wars or crisis that could wipe out all their citizens and if they have more allies. It will be more safe for citizens to live in and there will be less crisis and wars in most countries and if there is less crisis and wars every country will live in peace and there will not be any form of war .

However, some people might disagree with me because they might think it would be better to rely on one very powerful relationship because they are friends, they can lend a country weapons, reinforced equipment, or even half of their security forces which includes: their army’s, their navy, and their patrol team. Mostly some people allies might not give a country half of their security forces willingly they might ask for their resources like crude oil, gold, columbite, lime stone, and even coal it’s barely few leaders that give away some of their major things they need to protect their country from chaos and commotion from other countries who do not cooperate, agree, or even negotiate that properly .

With other countries for various reasons for example: when two leaders are in are in a board meeting and country C says I will collect all your resources and country D says we are using that particular resource to fix some of the infrastructure in our country and country C said that if you do not give us your resources I and my army will take it forcefully and that’s how war begins some times because of arguments and some times misunderstanding .
