Should countries stay allies even if their leaders don’t get along?

Selfishness of Power
Politics nowdays has leaders hunger for power over other nations. This action often overshadow their nations necessities and even consume the lives of many civilians which is the main reason on why countries shall stay as allies if they truly care about citizens.
Sadly, military power is now used by country leaders to be their chess pieces to win their disagreements towards other country leaders. International connections mustn't be affected by conflicts between leaders so that innocent lives wouldn't be lost for nothing.
Leaders aren't supposed to be immature and they must be able to separate their feelings from formal obligations. Considering these disagreements may cause a dent in their own country's economy. A similar case is the tension between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping. They caused the increase of tariffs which impacted international markets.
However, someone with an extreme viewpoint might disagree because they're filled by the leader's propoganda. An example are people with "Make America Great Again" mindsets. In my opinion they must realize that most of the facts that they have consumed are propoganda and make a change for themselves.
In conclusion, countries should stay as allies even if theres tension with the leaders and it would be a better choice to vote for a leader that won't do irrational decisions.
