Winter games: Can Technology make sports more equal or does it only widen the gap between Competitors?
Sports is were two teams go against, each other but also, they can draw, win or lose. Technology in sports means like VAR and cameras. It is special equipment to make sports equal. But A.I. [Artificial intelligence] can take over.
Firstly, I believe technology makes sports fair [VAR]. And goal line technology, like say someone shoots and goalkeeper saves it but it goes over the line the ref would probably say no goal from his point of view but since we have the VAR camera, he is going to be able to say it is a goal so fair play. Secondly, replays help the ref decide and make the game fair and everybody would be happy.
On second thoughts, people think it makes a gap between players increase. I totally understand their thoughts. They probably imagine they can bye really high-tech running shoes or training machines so they can win all their games.
In conclusion, I understand both reasons. Technology makes sports fair in its own way
