Can technology make sports more equal, or does it only widen the gap between competitors?

Technology has revolutionised every aspect of our lives and the world of sports is not an exception. From the way athletes train to how fans experience sport events. Technology has left an unbearable mark on the world of sports.
I think technology can make sports equal and not at the same time, because nowadays there are resources most athletes have in order to improve in their sport's results that could make everyone more equal, if every athlete had these resources.
One example of my way of thinking is that nowadays, there are electronic devices that can help athletes analyse their 'performances' in real time, like smartwatches or fitness tracking apps that help them improve in their results. Moreover, 'VAR' in football or 'HAWK eye' in tennis, can clear up any doubts about any disagreements in matches.
But on the other hand, I think technology can't make sports equal since there are some poorer or less-developed countries that can't have access to technology and, for this reason, they would be disadvantaged, wouldn't have all those benefits and advantages and wouldn't be equal.
I would like to conclude by saying that, I think technology continues advancing and developing, and that it is likely to play a key role in the evolution and growth of all sports around the world.
