Technology is widely used in sports today. It can help make games fairer, but it can also give some athletes advantages. Because of this, technology can both reduce and increase the gap between competitors.

One benefit of technology is that it helps referees make better decisions. Tools like VAR in football, reduce mistakes, and make results more accurate. This helps make competitions fairer for everyone.

However, this has to be used correctly due to it being used wrong in football many times, striking conversations about it being used all over the media. It can also widen the gap because of its price. Wealthy teams can afford better training equipment and data analysis tools. Athletes with fewer resources may not have access to these advantages.

Technology can also improve performance through advanced equipment like running shoes or swimsuits. If only some athletes can use this technology, it may give them an unfair advantage.

In conclusion, technology can make sports fairer, but it can also create advantages for richer teams. This means it can sometimes widen the gap between competitors. I think that the negatives of technology outweigh the positives and sport should stay technology free.
