Can technology make sports more equal, or does it only widen the gap between competitors?

Technolgy plays a huge part in everyday life in work, in school, and even hospitals but did you know that it also plays a huge role in sport. It helps make sport safer and even provides fairness for those who are disabled but some people argue that that it helps people gain an advantage rather than making sports more fair.

For example something that makes sports more safer is the Halo it helps in formula 1 by protecting the head of the racer . At first when it came into racing everybody disliked it but after some people got into crashes they realised it was safer.

A piece of tech that makes sport more fair is VAR you might of heard aboat it . The way it works is by identifying fouls and reporting it to the referee . It has helped identify a lot of fouls .

An example it helps gain an advantage is when in August 2025 two of the Norweigian's ski team and some staff members where charged with putting special reinforced threads into a ski suit they were charged with cheating and were disqualified . This is what a person would say to combat my answer.

In conclusion I think it would make sport safer and fairer if the tech you use follow the rules.
