My favourite topic from all the ones we have talked is the winter games. One of the biggest questions is: can technology make sports more equal, or does it only widen the gap between competitors?
I think that nowadays's technologies can make every game much fairer. They help the referees in the moment they take a decision over the match. There are also another types of technologies to improve the performance of athletes.
Firstly, digital technologies helps the referees in charge of the games to make decisions. For example, they can watch video replays to check previous actions and also to check any mistake they could made. This makes the results of every game much fairer, and makes equal decisions for the team.
Secondly, technology helps the athletes to have better performances, they use their equipment with some technological advances to make the best in every game. For example they use lighter materials in the skis to go faster. But the problem of this is that some countries with less money can not buy the same equipment as the others.
As a conclusion, I think that technological advances are improving the world in different ways, and this is very good for the development of the sports. They make sports safer, more dynamic, and also fairer.
