Can technology make sports more equal, or does it only widen the gap between competitors?

I think that modern technology has greatly changed how sport is played today. Technology is now used in many sports, and while it can help, it can also mean that there is sometimes less focus on pure skill.

Some types of technology are helpful. For example, VAR and Hawk-Eye help referees make more accurate decisions. Another example is the halo in Formula 1, which protects drivers and can save lives during crashes.

Talent is still the heart of sport, but technology is becoming more common in competitions. I think some technology is fair because it helps referees and improves safety. However, other types of technology can be unfair because not every team or athlete has the same budget to buy the best equipment.

Because of this, some teams may have an advantage over others. This can make competitions less fair if winning depends more on technology than on skill.

In conclusion, I think some technology is helpful and fair in sport, but other types can make competitions unfair if they give certain teams an advantage.
