Can technology make sports more equal, or does it only widen the gap between competitors?

The use of technology has changed sports since 100–200 years ago. Some people think technology is good, and some say it is bad. Technology, to me, is a very bad assessment to miss judges’ decisions or get things wrong. In my opinion, it is bad because one country may have more money and better equipment, while some countries may not have the facilities to get that equipment.
VAR was meant to be a good addition to football, but in my opinion it was a bad addition. For example, when Liverpool played Nottingham Forest, Liverpool almost drew the game because of a VAR decision of a handball in the goal buildup, but minutes later they scored again and the goal went to VAR but was allowed.
In the most recent Winter Olympics, the Canadian men’s curling team cheated by giving a small push on the granite. They ended up winning gold, but many countries complained. For example, you can only polish the stone one time, but they pushed it two times.
The Hawk-Eye system was introduced in Wimbledon to judge whether the ball was out of play. It helps because the human eye cannot see split-second reactions, so technology can help check the decision.
Some people might disagree, as technology can make sports more fair for everyone, but it can also be unfair to poorer teams.
In the end, it is the humans who operate the technology that matter.
