Can technology make sports more equal, or does it only widen the gap between competitors?

I think technology widens the gap between competitors in general sports.
My first reason is that not every competitor has the same financial resources to buy new technology, so richer competitors can afford better equipment and therefore might have an advantage. So if you, for example, have the better race bike and you win in the competition, more sponsors will support you, so you get even more money which allows you to buy even better equipment leading to a vicious circle where athletes who already win get more and more money while other get ignored and they cannot keep up with them.
The second reason is that some kind of technologies or materials are banned in your country, because the government thinks it is too dangerous, while other countries allow it. Athletes in those countries then use it and it and they have an big advantage over you. This makes international competitions very unfair because of the inequalities.
The third reason is that there is a difference between access to scientific training methods. Some athletes have access to better sports science, trainers and better tchnologies for recovery after an injury or a competition. Which other competitors might not have leading to unfair conditions.
All of this creates an unfair advantage because it is no longer only based on technology but also on financial resources.
But someone who disagrees might think that technology can help to make a sport safer, for example with protective gear and new helmets or the halo in F1 cars, and more accessible for disabled. And it can help by improving an athlete’s strength or lowering the risk of injuries.
My final opinion is that technology widens the gap between sport competitors but in some cases I consider it useful like for the Paralympics because technology there makes people to play a sp
