Can technology make sports more equal, or does it only widen the gap between competitors?

Technology can make sports fairer but it can also make a huge difference between competitors. It’s an important reflection because it could change the Winter Games completely. Personally, I believe that it can make sports more equal for some reasons:
Firstly, technology would give countries the opportunity for their athletes to develop better to finally achieve better positions. To achieve this equality, it would be necessary to limit certain materials and design and standardize equipment, so that all countries can afford it. It is also very important to set clear rules so that technology does not become the focus, but rather the athletes.
On the other hand, it could make a bigger difference if not all the athletes have access to the same type of equipment or training because richer or more developed countries would have a greater advantage.
In conclusion, I believe technology would help improve all athletes provided that everyone had equal access. This way, the gap between athletes wouldn't widen and individual talent would continue being the focus, as everyone would have the same opportunities.
