Can technology make sports more equal, or does it only widen the gap between competitors?

The Winter Games - Standpoint image 4

technology can be very useful, but sometimes people use it for cheating and thats the reason why i think that tech widends the gap between competeters instead of making it more equal.

although tech has made sports fairer sometimes, like VAR in football, that has improved game by 14%,tech also makes cheating easier like when a norwiegen team cheated by putting an exra string in the skiers suits making them have much more chance to win.

i think that if olyimpians only use tech for safety, like the halo, many people didn't like the halo because it made F1 cars look'ugly' but it has saved mutiple lives since being introduced.

also if an olypian is from a richer country they can buy and train with better equipedment then a much poorer country and have a big advantage, i think that the richer countries will disagree with me and so will people who make the tech because if every one is given the same equiptment then companies who make more advanced and expensive equiptment will go out of busness and the rich country will have worse equiptment.

as the winter games grows bigger so do tech companies and different types of new and improved tech, every one wants to buy the latest tech but some cannot aford it giving orther richer countries an advantage.

i think that tech widens the gap between competiters because it allowes more cheats and unfairnes.
