Does the use of technology make new world records less impressive than those of the past?

Technology helped for sure during the years to improve records more and more, but I don't think that technology made new world records less impressive:
-everyone at high levels in sport can use technology, but not everyone makes new records. So it means that technology helps, but it's not everything.
-you still have to train every day if you want to compete, in every sport, technology isn't enough, you have to train and get better every day by yourself.
-The eras in sports are different, you can't say that one is less impressive than another one, in 70s, 80s, 90s every sport had different equipments, nowadays everything is different, and you can't compare this era to another era.
