Does the use of technology make new world records less impressive than those of the past?

I think that technology widens the gap between talent or technology.

I understand that some people are better than others at the match. for example: Person #1 is less experienced that Person #2. Person #1 can get a piece that can make them better but the piece malfuntions during their turn. Person #1 can suffer with injuries. That wouldn't be good because then other people participating in the sport won't be able to do it because Person #1 is injured.

In August 2025, two of the Norwegian ski team's stars and three staff members were charged with cheating for illegally putting in special, reinforced threads into the athletes' ski suits. Apparently, the technical team performed the secret tech work to increase the suit's surface area and stiffness, which gives the skiers extra aerodynamic lift. This tech fraud made the stars immediately be disqualified.

Someone who disagrees might think technology makes it better and easier for the athletes. However, I think they're wrong because it might not be fair for the other because it might be faster and stronger than other's technology as the other might have slower technology.

In conclusion, I think technology shouldn't be allowed. What do you think?
