Technology has actually changed the way athletes perform and break records. Swimsuits like the Speedo LZR Racer have helped swimmers get faster. Some rules have limited their use.Shoes like the Nike Vaporfly help runners run faster and use energy. Bicycles and track surfaces have also gotten better giving athletes advantages. Despite all this technology breaking records is still really hard. There are lots of competitors and athletes very talented and dedicated. To break a record like Usain Bolt's 100-meter sprint record you should have skill and work very hard.
Technology can help,. Its not enough on its own.
Records are hard to compare across times because technology has changed so much. Athletes have always used the tools they can find.
To make things fair sports organizations make rules about equipment so athletes are on equal ground.
Overall technology has really changed record-breaking. The real value is the athletes skills, determination and hard work. Athletes, like Usain Bolt and others have proved that with the mix of hard work and technology they can get big things.
Technology won’t stop changing. The importance of skill and hard work will always be there.
