Should modern sport test not just natural talent, but also training methods and technology, or does that make competition unfair?

The Winter Games - Standpoint image 1

I believe sport should mainly test talent rather than techology, Althetes trains for many years to develop their skills and strength, and this effort should be the main factor winning. If technology becomes to important, richer teams may gain advantage because they can afford better equipment.

When people watch sport likes Winter Olympic Games, they want to see the althetes abilities and hard work, not just advanced gear. If equipment is use more than skill, the competition becomes less about sport and more about technology.

For this reason, technology should only play a supporting role in sport. Rules should make sure that equipment does not create unfair advantages. This way, competitions remains fair and continue to reward talent, dedication, and years of training. It also keeps sport inspiring, because success and skill comes from effort and hardwork not from technology they use or whatever better equipment they have.
