Black History Month: let’s talk about racial equality

This special Topical Talk Spotlight shines a light on five expert voices who share insights into racial inequality in society and what should be done to fight it.

Use these five 20-minute discussions to help your students:

  • Understand different examples of racial inequality in society
  • Hear from five experts, who each spark a new discussion about how to solve racial inequality in society
  • Discuss how they could champion equality in their schools and communities

The experts featured are:

  • Dr Ibram X. Kendi, author, professor, writer, and director of the Boston University Center for Anti-Racist Research
  • Dr Kenneth Harris, senior project engineer at NASA
  • Mike Omoniyi, an award-winning social entrepreneur, leader, builder, academic, commentator, artist, activist and polymath
  • Tamara Gilkes Borr, US policy correspondent at The Economist
  • Ọrẹ Ogunbiyi, co-author of Taking Up Space: The Black Girl's Manifesto for Change and a daily podcast host at The Economist
