About this lesson

In late 2025 new climate models suggested the world will probably miss its target of staying below 1.5°C of warming. In early 2026 a glacier-drilling expedition in Antarctica failed to collect the data scientists hoped for.

As Earth Day approaches, what can we learn when climate science doesn’t go to plan?

Use this lesson to help students:
