  • I agree with you that news increases our anxiety levels and make us depressed, sad, and afraid for our planet. Media can affect
us both positively and negatively. It's the main source of information about climate change. Many people have taken social media to share their concerns about climate change, hence, it can be a powerful way to spread awareness. An increase in the number of media reports is a good sign for people's awareness and encourage more people to take actions. One the other hand, these media reports could affect us negatively by exaggerating the situation and spread fake news. Thus, it's important to avoid fake news, limit your news consumption and take a break from climate news.

  • I think the role of media is very important how it portray the news. If media creates sensation all the time in news definetlty it influences the mental health and make people eco anxious. The biggest anxiety that media portrays in this century was of COVID-19. In COVID-19 more than 90% of the people become eco-anxious due to breaking news coming all the time every .Today how many people died of COVID-19. As a result it affects the physical health as well as mental health. When across the globe we were facing social crsis alongwith Public health crisis .But media can play a vital role at that time by presenting news in a positive way that COVID can treated and more importantly can be prevented by taking necessary SOPS. Such type of news casting can lessen eco-anxiety.
