AI is harming us and our jobs are only the beginning!

Written standpoint on AI

Will AI do more harm or more good in the world?

In my opinion AI will change the future of the workplace dramatically and this will be the focus of my standpoint. AI is already changing the world in ways we never imagined. From smarter phones to self-driving cars. We’re standing on the edge of something huge, and while there are many possibilities, there are also some big challenges we’ll have to go through whether alone or with someone by our side.

When we think of AI in the economy we think of how efficient businesses will become. Imagine factories where robots work all day and night without ever needing a break, or delivery systems that use AI to get things from point A to point B faster than any human ever could.

If AI can do more and more jobs that humans have done, and more efficiently, what will happen to the people who do those jobs? As AI takes over these tasks, workers could find themselves out of a job, and that’s a real concern. While new industries and jobs will appear, it’s hard to deny that with this thing you won't be able to tell the difference between the rich and poor. To avoid this, we’ll need to rethink of how we train and support workers.

The nature of work will change, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that jobs will disappear. AI will be something usable, not a replacement. While machines can handle repetitive tasks, there are certain things that only humans can do, things like understanding emotions, building relationships, and thinking creatively.

Take healthcare, for example. AI might help doctors diagnose illnesses faster and more accurately, but the doctor will still be the one talking to the patient, making decisions, and offering care. The jobs of the future might look very different from the ones we have today, and it’s up to us to be ready for that change.

In conclusion, AI will have a dramatically influence on the population. It will replace the need for a human touch. The human race could essentially become useless.

  • AI is reshaping the world. It is especially affecting the workplace. The AI can improve efficiency, automation, and productivity. The businesses can operate faster, smarter, and more productive. However, AI can take away the jobs. Many people might not be able to find a job. The rich and poor gap might increase if the AI continues to grow.

I like how you mentioned the need for AI to be a tool, not a replacement. This is an important distinction! AI is far from being able to replace human creativity, emotions, and personal connections, especially in healthcare, teaching, and counseling.

The conclusion is powerful, but the claim that the human race could essentially become useless is too much. The thing is that humans have always adapted to technologies, so while AI will change the jobs, the people are going to play an important role in the society. The thing is that we can become not useless, but just evolve and learn new skills, that’s why we are going to be ahead.

Do you think the AI will get to the point where it replaces us completely, or we will always find a way to adapt?

  • I do agree with you. AI is taking over the world faster than we can even imagine. It is changing different aspects in our society. It is really having effects in our society both good and bad.
For the good ; it has improved decision making, increased efficiency, health care advancements, educational benefits, cyber security enhancement etc.
For the bad; it is having real environmental effects, misplacement and misinformation, lack of creativity and emotion etc.
But to me, even though there is going to be job displacement, I don't think human effort will not be needed because there will surely be those for the maintenance of these machines sustaining and prolonging their lifespan and efficiency and also in the medical field for example, these machines don't have such emotions and feelings like that of human beings to attend to patients, all they do is what they have been programed to do, so AI taking over jobs mostly certain jobs might not happen at all.
