Can AI be sustainable?

I think AI is sustainable because it is taking lots of energy out out of world. A positive impact is AI can predict natural disasters, help and stop deforestaion and track endangered species to protect wildlife.But a negative impact is , if AI is not used responsibly, it could be used for harmful things like spreading fake news or spying on people. You really need to hear this negative impact which is , big companies need huge data centres that use thousands of computers which heat up the planet and require large amounts of water for cooling.
