Oftentimes people wonder what makes a man powerful: Is it money, strength or influence?
Elon Musk, the man of the moment, is one of such men that you will have to ask what makes him powerful. Here is a man who dines with kings and presidents and is still popular among the middle and lower class of the society. It is amazing how social media has no status barrier like the real world.
I believe his greatest influence is the way he uses his social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) notably. We are in the 21st century and social media is a very active part of this century. While other important figures used traditional means of communicating, Elon Musk has built a large online presence changing the way the public sees him. This has also helped him get a large business acumen through his media platform. He seems to always be one step ahead in space.
Elon Musk is transparent in his communication with his audience and this has enabled him to interact with millions of followers in real time. He shares updates, responds to criticism, and sets agenda in a personal and authentic way thereby bypassing conventional media filters.
His impact with his media presence enables him to drive stocks by shaping markets. A single tweet from Elon Musk can cause major fluctuations in new technologies like cryptocurrency and stock prices. For example, his tweets about Dogecoin helped in the shift that cryptocurrency experienced in the world.
People feel personally connected to his projects maybe because his social media influence offers a sense of community, fosters loyalty, recognition and new talent to his ventures.
It is important to note as with most wealthy people, his wealth can be misused as people who just want to be in his good books might agree with his opinions whether they believe in it or not because of the wealth he has amassed.
Finally, I believe his social media platform has played a key role in making him a powerful influence as a leading figure in the tech industry as he has been able to shape the way the public sees him, raise a loyal community and increase business outcomes. I dare say, Elon Musk is a force to reckon with.

Elon musk is a powerful and rich man in the U.S.A., but there is somethings that people don't really know about him. EM demand a total alignment with his vision can be stifle creativity and installed a fear among the employees, he was accusation of sexism, antisemitism, transphobia, and disseminating of misinformation. He also did the Nazi salute, in front of the camera, which makes him look bad, because after what Germany did to the Jews, it's illegal to do that salute. His power is way too powerful to do all of these things in front of the people, He needs his power to be taken away.
I agree with you. Elon Musk is only powerful because of his social media influence, his money and his relationships with great people. I recently heard that Elon Musk went about spreading misinformation on x[formally known as twitter] his followers might not even like him maybe they are just following him because of his wealth. Elon Musk is the world richest man and he is powerful because he is the world richest man if he didn't have that much amount of money, he would have just been like every one and he will have been powerless. because he has that money, he thinks he has the right to treat people whichever way he wants which is a very bad behavior. I need to say Elon Musk needs to watch the way he spreads fake news allover the internet.
I do not completely agree with you on this because Elon Musk's power is not just because of social media influence but a variety of other factors such as his government position and others. I believe that a person can be rich but not famous but cannot be famous and not rich
I feel Elon has too much power since his social media cause his "fans" to change their own opinion to match his since they want to be like him
