Is the impact of social media on the amount of power people have a good thing or a bad thing?

Elon Musk has power over social media platforms and it has impacted a lot of users around the world.
The first example that supports my opinion is that Elon Musk turned Twitter into X and the app is even worse now and people are nearly free to say whatever they want. In February 2022, Elon Musk donated Starlink satellite and terminals to Ukraine to support communication during the war with Russia. In October 2022, Musk asked his followers whether Ukraine could consider giving up some territory to Russia in exchange for peace. This sparked outrage from Ukrainian leaders and the fact that Musk used his social media to discuss a sensitive topic is not the right reasons for using social media.
I feel like Elon Musk’s power is a problem because he is powerful, but he can be way too powerful, and it’s mostly because he has over 402 billion dollars and he’s the wealthiest person in the world. I think that he’s now using his power only because he is super rich and famous and it can lead to a lot of problems. Because of him, X is not a good app to use anymore.
